Science

You know you have picked a good middle school science text when the high schooler stops reading his biology book to listen to you reading aloud. If that isn't convincing enough, maybe the 6th and 7th graders trying to be the first to answer the question, and arguing that the other one got more questions is another sign.

This is the only thing that we have ever used that Alex and Ethan both enjoy, both learn from and most importantly, retain the information for longer than a day or two. Both of them. At the same time. Really.
